| This 6,500
s.f. house is tucked within a grove of aspen trees amid a stand of old
douglas fir trees above Wolcott, Colorado. The house is wrapped
around a courtyard on the south, and the great room, dining room and
hearth room are focused on a panorama of distant views. The house
has a drystack stone base, timber accents and simple, elegant
detailing. French doors in the great room open onto the
courtyard, and allows the family to feel rooted to the land
while enjoying views of the distant hills. Below are renderings, models and photos of the completed home. |
