The home is a 5,900 s.f. wood framed contemporary residence with timber accents.   It has 5 beds, 5 1/2 baths, 3 car garage.  The home was in the LEED residential pilot program and has achieved Gold Certification.  On the roof is 7.02 kW of photovoltaic panels.  On site below the home is an array of evacuated tube solar collectors to provide 58.25 Mbtu BTU's/day of supplemental heat and domestic water.  The home is super-insulated with R-30+ walls and R-50+ roof.  All insulation is blown urethane (2pcf min.) foam.  Fresh air is provided continuously via 80% effective  air-to-air heat exchangers.  The home is passive solar with 3" of stained concrete floors as solar mass.
